Welcome to Horizons Academy
Horizons Academy is a brand new state-of-the-art academy that will provide a specialist learning provision for children and young people aged seven to 19 with social, emotional and mental health needs, and autism spectrum condition.
Our ethos for Horizons Academy is rooted in our firm belief that every young person, regardless of individual need or ability, deserves an education that fosters inclusivity, meaningful engagement, and academic excellence.
Our aim is to inspire, raise aspirations and create brighter tomorrows for all our learners, not just academically but also as young people. This is achieved by creating a safe, consistent and nurturing environment where positive relationships are the foundations of everything we do. Staff will work with unconditional positive regard and every opportunity is a fresh start.
In meeting the wide-ranging specific needs of all learners, our curriculum will be aspirational, including a broad range of experiences structured in such a way that it is meaningful and can be tailored to every student. Every young person who is part of Horizons Academy will leave prepared for adulthood and can go on to achieve more than they could have ever imagined.
