We were pleased to welcome members of the Nottinghamshire County Council Children and Families Select Committee to Horizons Academy on 8 October 2026.

During the visit, principal Lee Beesley shared updates on the academy’s progress and development since opening in January 2026. Guests also toured the facilities and enjoyed meeting some of our students.

Thanks to Cllr Kevin Brown (Mansfield South), Cllr Richard Darrington (Hucknall South), Cllr Jan Goold (Stapleford and Broxtowe Central), Cllr Andrew McCormack (Warsop), Cllr Sue Saddington (Farndon and Trent), Cllr David Smith (Mansfield North), and the team at Nottinghamshire County Council (Karen Hughman, Tracy Ayers and James Lavender) for taking the time to visit our academy.
