Since opening our doors in January, Horizons Academy has grown into a thriving school community filled with confidence, kindness and ambition. In just a few short months, we have achieved so much together.
Our first year has been full of exciting milestones, memorable moments and achievements that have helped shape our academy. From students settling into new routines and building friendships to embracing every opportunity with enthusiasm, it has been wonderful to see our community flourish.
To end the first year we held our very first Horizons Academy awards evening. It was a special occasion that brought together students, families and staff to celebrate the incredible progress, character and determination shown by our young people throughout the year.
The awards recognised students who have consistently demonstrated our Horizons habits to be respectful, to be brave, to be resilient and to build relationships. These values are at the heart of everything we do and help create a positive, supportive environment where every student can succeed.
The atmosphere in the hall was filled with pride as families cheered on our award winners and celebrated their achievements. It was a wonderful reminder of how far we have come together in such a short space of time.
